A Regular Bedtime ‘increases the chances of Getting Pregnant’

A study suggests that women can increase their chances of getting pregnant by having a REGULAR bedtime. Researchers discovered that women who went to bed at around the same time consistently every night increased their conception chances four-fold within a year.

The body clock seems to be playing a part in fertility, according to experts and disruptive sleep habits are also linked to other diseases.

A study of 176 women in the US who were attempting to get pregnant asked the women to wear a smartwatch, which tracked their activity phases.

For the women who went to sleep every night within the same hour time-frame, conception rose four-fold within a year for the participants.

The chances doubled for women who went to sleep within a 90-minute period, as per the Washington University study in St Louis.

Normal body functions and healthy operation are linked to adequate sleep and this study reveals that for women trying to get pregnant, it would be beneficial to start a regular sleeping habit.

The University of Miami discovered in a different study that testosterone levels decreased by 1.5% for every hour of sleep that was lost.

Furthermore, the detrimental effects of disrupted sleep patterns can lead to other health issues such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. The body’s circadian rhythm, which controls sleep patterns and other bodily functions, is crucial for maintaining optimal health. Therefore, it is not surprising that maintaining regular sleep schedules can have a significant impact on fertility and overall health.

For women who struggle with irregular sleep patterns, establishing a nighttime routine can help regulate their body’s internal clock. This could include establishing a consistent bedtime, avoiding screen time before sleep, practicing relaxation techniques and avoiding caffeine late in the day.

In conclusion, while there are many factors that contribute to fertility, maintaining a regular sleep schedule could significantly boost a woman’s chances of conceiving. By prioritising healthy sleeping habits, women can not only increase their chances of getting pregnant but also improve their overall health and wellbeing.
