Soft, Mouldable Protection From Noise And Water
Mack’s Pillow Soft Silicone Earplugs offer a comfortable alternative to traditional foam earplugs. Instead of being pushed into the ear canal, each soft silicone plug is shaped over the ear opening to create a secure seal.
The adaptable putty design makes them useful in several situations. Wear them at bedtime to reduce unwanted background noise, use them while travelling or studying, or create a water-resistant seal for swimming and bathing.
Key Benefits
- Comfortable mouldable fit: The soft silicone can be shaped to suit the outer ear opening without being inserted into the ear canal.
- Reduces disruptive sound: A Noise Reduction Rating of 22dB helps lessen everyday noise when the earplugs are fitted correctly.
- Helps keep water out: The waterproof seal makes these earplugs suitable for swimming, bathing and showering.
- Useful day or night: A practical option for sleep, study, travel, loud events and other situations where noise reduction may help.
- Reusable: Each pair can be used again while the silicone remains clean and tacky, giving you several uses from the six-pair pack.
How To Use Mack’s Pillow Soft Earplugs
- Make sure your hands and the outside of your ears are clean and dry.
- Roll one complete earplug into a smooth ball.
- Place it over the ear opening and gently flatten it to create an airtight seal.
- Do not push the earplug into the ear canal or split one plug between both ears.
- To remove it, press behind the ear and gently lift the silicone away.
A correct fit is important for effective noise and water protection. Always read and follow the instructions supplied with the product before use.
Who Are They Suitable For?
These earplugs are designed for adults who prefer a soft, mouldable earplug rather than an in-ear foam style. They can be particularly useful for side sleepers, swimmers, travellers, students and anyone seeking moderate everyday noise reduction.
Children should only use earplugs with close adult supervision and in accordance with the instructions on the pack. If you have an ear condition, a perforated eardrum, ear tubes or have recently had ear surgery, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before use.

Safety Information
Cover the ear opening only. Never insert the earplugs into the ear canal, as incorrect use may make them difficult to remove. Use one complete earplug for each ear and inspect it before every use. Discard it when it becomes dirty, damaged or no longer tacky. Keep out of reach of babies and small children when not in use, as the earplugs may present a choking risk.
Noise reduction depends on correct fitting. No earplug blocks all sound, so these should not be used where hearing alarms, warnings or approaching traffic is essential. Keep the packaging and supplied instructions for reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do These Earplugs Go Inside The Ear Canal?
No. Mack’s Pillow Soft Earplugs should be moulded over the ear opening to form a seal. They should never be pushed into the ear canal.
Can I Use Them For Sleeping?
Yes. Their soft, low-profile putty design makes them suitable for reducing background noise at bedtime, including for many side sleepers.
Can I Wear Them While Swimming?
Yes. When fitted correctly, the silicone forms a waterproof seal that helps keep water out during swimming, bathing and showering.
How Many Times Can Each Pair Be Used?
They can be reused while they remain clean, undamaged and tacky enough to form a reliable seal. Replace them when they become soiled or lose their ability to adhere properly.
What Does A 22dB Noise Reduction Rating Mean?
The 22dB NRR is the manufacturer’s laboratory-rated noise reduction figure. The protection achieved in everyday use depends on the fit, the noise environment and how consistently the earplugs are worn.
