Extraction

Fennel essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the crushed Fennel. The seeds from which the oil is obtained are harvested once they have reached a light brown colour and before they have fallen from the plant. They’re normally harvested in the early morning so as to avoid too many dropping to the ground during the process. They are then dried before being processed to produce the oil.
